The National Digital Forecast Database is an operational weather forecast system operated by the National Weather Service.  It provides surface weather forecast for seven days.  WFAS uses the NDFD weather forecast to forecast fire danger components and indices.  These forecasts can be used for operational and strategic fire planning at regional and national scales.
